Glad 2008 is behind us

Here I am exactly one year later; January 1st is in 3 days, 2009...this has been a very eventful year...not all good either. Our "luck" started to turn about 8 months ago when I suddenly lost my "secure" job...FYI, nothing is secure in life I have found out. After seeking employment for 5 long months I am now among the working again...only to find employment on the fringe of my husband loosing his job...This has made an impact on our household of monumental change. After 3 months, he now is doing consulting work which is bringing in some "bacon" but life has been difficult this past year. Lets pray that 2009 beings good health, happiness and financial security as much as it is possible.

I am starting this new Blog for the New Year 2008-going out to dinner with old friends for the New Year Celebration and desert afterwards; we have been celebrating New Years Eve with the same friends for over 30 years. Most people can't claim to even have the same friends for over 30 years or let alone be married for that long these days. I work with 23 women in a medical office setting and only a few of those women are on their original marriage; they are a conglomeration of divorced, widowed, "living together" and unhappily single, shopping for Mr. right, ladies. It makes for an interesting work day, not always a pleasant one. I will try and not focus on returning to work on Wednesday after my mini-vacation this long weekend
